IED Barcelona attended  Pitti 2017 edition, presenting 40 of its best fashion and design students from 9 different branches, (Carlota Trias Aranguren, 2BA fashion student  and Inés Rovira Casas 3TS fashion student from IED Barcelonaplus a collaboration with an international artist who has left an indelible mark on contemporary art and culture: Lindsay Kemp.

This final event was semi-improvised and absolutely unrepeatable. Kemp and his dancers  evoked the figure of Okuni, the founder of Kabuki. The dances were accompanied by Joji Hirota, the famous Japanese musician who worked with him for many years and who  performed percussion, flute and voice, creating a fusion between ancient tradition and contemporary avant-garde.
